The members of the United Nations Association in Nebraska, like most Americans, are concerned for the security and leadership standing of our country. They see our mounting debt, and the huge military outlays contributing to that debt, as major long-term contributors to U.S. insecurity.

Hy-Vee Stop Insulting Us By Advertising on Rush Limbaugh

A majority of Hy-Vee's shoppers are women, and its support of Rush Limbaugh's radio show, which has repeatedly insulted women, is by default communicating it agrees with his outrageous lies and insults.

We want to support Hy-Vee's employee-run stores, but not while the company is supporting Rush Limbaugh. That's why we are sending out an appeal for our members to sign the petition created by a affiliate.

We hope you will participate and sign on to support this cause and let Hy-Vee know we will not be a part of a store that supports any show that degrades and openly insults women!

TAKE ACTION | Show Your Support for LB 543 and LB 485

There are two very important bills scheduled for public hearings this week in the Judiciary Committee. First, a bill to end the death penalty has been scheduled for a hearing on Wednesday, March 13th. Expert testimony has been lined up for the hearing, but our lawmakers need to hear from the most important voice: yours.

Send a message to your senator today in support of LB 543.

Show your support in person by watching the hearing at the Capitol on the 13th, and be sure to stop by your own senator's office and let him/her know you support ending the death penalty.
